Downtown Needle Exchange

Hypodermic needles can be exchanged for free, one for one, at 1511 Second Avenue. Also condoms, bleach kits, AIDS information.

Hypodermic needles can be exchanged for free at a table outside Christ Episcopal Church, 4548 Brooklyn Ave NE. Quoting their delf-description:
Supplies offered: new syringes, sterile injection equipment, injection alternatives & other safer use supplies, overdose reversal medication naloxone (a.k.a. Narcan), fentanyl test kits, nicotine replacement therapy, wound care supplies, HRT kits (hormones not included), safer sex supplies, emergency contraception, & hygiene products. They also often have socks, warm clothes, outdoor survival gear, food, & coffee.
Services offered: Suboxone treatment, Hep C testing, HIV testing, wound care, bathroom access.

Central District Needle Exchange

Additional location at the Street Outreach Services van located on 10th Ave. between Madison & Union in the Central District. This needs verification and update 9/09. Street Outreach Services no longer exists.

Over the years, these have been the most predictable and reliable needle exchanges in Seattle, but there are others.
